God’s Plan of Salvation

What is it?

Following God’s Plan is the most important thing man can ever do. And is necessary in order to be pleasing to our Heavenly Father. And this can only be achieved through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. All our Father asks is that we trust in Christ and call upon His name in faith and He will save us.

Steps to take

The True God

First, you must believe in the only true God.

Isaiah 43:11

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Responsibility

Secondly, you must believe that you are responsible to God.

1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Believe that you are a sinner

Then, you must believe that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Believe the Power of Sin

You must believe that your sins have separated you from God.

John 8:24

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Believe in Jesus

You must believe you can be reconciled to God only through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Desire to be saved

You must want to be saved.

Acts 2:37

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Repentance

You must repent of your sins and through faith, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Acts 20:21

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mark 1:15

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Most people have completed these first six steps. However, a person will remain lost until he or she completes the seventh step.

Why is it important?

Jesus said in Luke 13:3,5

except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish.

Many people believe in God, but have never been saved.

Jesus said to a religious believer in John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.

Even though this religious man believed in God, he was lost and needed to be saved.

You Can Also Be Saved!

Do you agree with the first six steps? Then, as a lost sinner, (from the depths of your heart) ask God to forgive you of your sins, and ask Jesus to save you.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Death is the Door into Eternity

Which Door will you go through?

Heaven or Hell

It’s Your Choice!

Please Consider the Following Passages of Scripture:

John 3:16-18

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 3:10

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 10:9-13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Corinthians 6:2

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Proverbs 27:1

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

John 8:24

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 3:36

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
