Over the past couple weeks the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) have released several undercover videos discussing Planned Parenthood’s (PP’s) illegal selling of human body parts taken from aborted “fetus” (that is, “babies”). In the videos, several of the PP’s doctors / associates callously discussed the selling of body parts in terms of what they could get for the respective “intact” parts; including how they at times changed the abortion procedure such that they could preserve the most [lucrative] body parts. (Note that tax payers’ dollars provide $500 million annually to PP – all under the guise of them providing needed women health services.) PP’s response was that CMP edited the “illegally gotten videos” to create a false narrative against Planned Parenthood – and that they (PP) have done nothing wrong under the “law”; meaning, they only provided the aborted fetal parts for medical research (at no profit).
Every human being in this country should be outraged at what has been reported – and should demand that Congress stop all funding of Planned Parenthood. Likewise, an investigation should ensue to prosecute all who have been involved with this act – including the research facilities who participated as recipients. Now we know that there have been ardent supporters of PP who are defending the organization for the “good services” that they provide women. However, if you dig deeper, you will find that PP is really about the abortion industry – and that other organizations can provide women health services. Even the Obama administration has come to the defense of Planned Parenthood. Jim Esquea, HHS’s assistant secretary for legislation, wrote, “We have confirmed that HHS researchers working with fetal tissue obtained the tissue from non-profit organizations that provided assurances to us that they are in compliance with all applicable legal requirements. Esquea also justified the company’s practice of selling aborted babies for research by saying it’s critical for the medical community. He said, “The use of fetal tissue in medical research has been an instrumental component of our attempts to understand, treat, and cure a number of conditions and diseases that affect millions of Americans. In addition, research using cell lines derived from fetal tissue has also played an essential role in the field of vaccine development.” Thus, based upon the Obama administration claims we are to conclude that “for the greater good” – that is, killing babies (through abortion) we can save jobs and not create a set back to key research; thus, the end justifies the means.
We must understand that when we as a society of people can complacently and passively embrace the killing of babies in the womb – we have 1) cast off our regard for the dignity and respect for human life – which is to be cherished, nurtured, and protected by all; 2) we blaspheme God in killing His creation. But one might now argue, “Doesn’t our law permit [abortion]? How is this any different?” Yes, our law does [permit] abortion – and now we see the slippery slope that we as a society are on. Paul wrote the following to Titus concerning [sound doctrine] in regards to the care and protection of our “children“.
Titus 2:2-5,
“That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
Paul also wrote the following to Timothy. 1 Timothy 5:14,
“I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.”
We also read in the Psalms, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” [Psalm 127:3]. Throughout the Bible, we can find passage after passage where God’s Word teaches that He intended for men and women to marry, bear children, love them and raise them to love and serve Him. If we continue to embrace aborted baby parts research, we will have in effect told God that “we have the power to make life and to take life – ergo we are gods.” If we bow down to the “gods of medical science” – and turn a blind eye to the killing of these [babies] let us not be surprised when God brings His wrath upon us.
