Our Mission
We at Cornerstone Baptist Church desire to faithfully serve our Lord while we seek with the utmost diligence to fulfil the task that has been given to us by the Lord Himself. Our mission and task are dedicated to the Father through His Son Jesus Christ and are as follows.
The One True Savior
Present Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to all those we meet.
All are in need of a Savior.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The Importance Of Scriptural Baptism
Help each saved individual understand their need to follow Christ in [scriptural] baptism.
Baptism is the first act of obedience to the Lord, as well as a public identification with the Lord.
Acts 2:41a
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized…
Faithful Church Service
Help each saved, baptized believer understand the importance of joining and serving God in a [scriptural] New Testament Church. God receives honor and glory through the local New Testament Church.
Ephesians 3:21a
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus…
Accepting Who We Are
Help each saved, baptized believer [accept] who they are in Jesus Christ.
Each man, woman, boy, and girl is made in the image of God. God loves each individual personally, as he has so designed.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Understanding God’s Plan
Help each saved, baptized believer understand that God has designed a [unique] plan for their life.
Through prayer and study of God’s Word, the plan will be revealed. God equips the individual with the necessary gifts and talents for the plan. God enables the individual to accomplish the plan. The individual must rely on God for the strength and faith to finish the plan.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [perfect] it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Great Commission
Help each member of Cornerstone Baptist Church understand the importance of [combining] their collective gifts and talents for the expressed purpose of carrying out [the mission of Cornerstone Baptist Church] – The GREAT COMMISSION.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power [authority] is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
