I am so thankful that you have taken the time to browse our church’s website. I pray that you will view the respective website links so that you can gain a better understanding as to who our congregation is, our love for our Lord, and our desire to share God’s love with you and your family.

At the age of 11 the Lord showed me through His Word and through the conviction of His Holy Spirit that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I repented of my sin and placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ. (As Christ promised, all who will by faith trust in Him, shall be saved and receive a home in Heaven.) I then submitted to baptism and became a member of our church. Through the years of serving the Lord, I was blessed in being able to serve in the positions of music director, treasurer, teacher, and in the office of deacon. In 1997 the Lord called me into the Gospel ministry – and placed a burden on both my heart and my wife’s heart to plant a church here in Bolingbrook, IL. After a couple years of preparation, the Lord enabled us to start the work. And as the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 1:12, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;” The work here in Bolingbrook initially started with just my family. But, praise be to God that He sent others who would not only embrace us and unite with us – but who also have a passion to study God’s Word and to live according to it.
As mentioned, we here at Cornerstone Baptist Church truly seek an opportunity to share God’s love with you and your family.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is committed to a balanced ministry, which emphasizes four priorities: Celebration, Caring, Cultivation and Communication. We celebrate in worship…we care for one another…we cultivate the fullest spiritual life possible both individually and corporately…and we communicate God’s love bound between truth and discernment at every opportunity. Individually and corporately our people are taught that true service unto the Lord must be enveloped in our lives through keeping the two great commandments as proclaimed by Jesus Christ, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” [Matthew 22:37-40].

We believe the Bible is to be our rule of faith and practice – and that the full counsel of God is to be taught from Genesis to Revelation. We believe and teach that if it wasn’t for the grace of God – we would all perish as condemned sinners. But praise be unto God that He gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of the world – for all who will believe!!
